Cancellation Policy
Under circumstances where we enter into an off premise contract with our customers, such as when we agree a contract at our customers premises, our cancellation policy applies to give you reasonable time to change your mind. It does not apply when work has been quoted for and agreed in writing prior to commencement or when the work involves urgent repairs.
What is an off premise contract?
There are four types of ‘off-premises’ contracts, most business
contracts will fall under any of the first three paragraphs below:
1. A contract made where a consumer and trader are together
and agree the contract in a place that is not the trader’s busi-
ness premises e.g. in a consumer’s home or place of work.
2. A contract made where a consumer and trader are together
and an offer is made by the consumer in a place that is not the
trader’s business premises.
3. A contract that is agreed on a trader’s premises or through
any means of distance communication immediately after
a meeting with a consumer in a place that is not the trader’s
business premises.
4. A contract made with the consumer during an excursion
organised by the trader with the aim or effect of promoting and
selling goods or services to the consumer.
If any of the above situations are met then the following notice of the right to cancel is as described below.
